To enlighten the rich culture of India and to create a sense of superiority among generation ,The Heritage club ‘Darohar’ of Mount Carmel School Chandigarh visited the Virasat e khalsa in the holy city of Anandpur Sahib on 17th April 2019. A group of 51 students from classes 6 to 10 and three teachers witnessed this masterpiece and was left awestruck by its architectural magnificence and Sikh culture and religious history the museum showcased .The museum building which is shaped like the hands offering prayers unfolds the Sikh history and tradition like never before.
The students got to know about the eternal message of the ten Sikh gurus, the saga of the struggle and sacrifice of the brave hearts to achieve independence , the trauma of partition and the making of constitution of free India. The tour of the museum helped the students to relate their learning of history and engaged them into deeper understanding of the authentic culture and natural heritage.
It was a very informative and enriching experience for all and looking forward for more such visits.
