An orientation session for the Parents of the newly admitted students of the Classes II to X was held at Mount Carmel School, Sector 47-B, Chandigarh on April 21, 2018.  The programme started by evoking  the blessings of the Almighty upon one and all present. It was followed by the welcome note extended to the Parents by the Principal, Dr. Parveena John Singh. She shared that the vision of the Founder Directors of the School Dr. Earnest Charles J. Samuel and Dr. Annie Charles Samuel, is the value based holistic development of each and every Mount Carmelite so that tomorrow they not just become successful individuals but also become responsible citizens of the society.

An interactive session was conducted after this on ‘The Effective Parenting Tips’ through story telling by the Counselor from the Fortis Hospital, Mohali, who was especially invited as the resource person for the day. This was followed by wing-wise briefing of the guidelines related to Scholastic & Co-scholastic areas of the School.  The objective was to familiarize the ‘Parents – Partners in Education’ with the rules and regulations, curriculum and exam structure, sports and cultural activities of the school, giving Parents glimpses into the academics and activity galore of the School.  Parents appreciated the endeavour of the School which has served as an ice breaker laying a wonderful foundation of Parents & School Interaction as co-partners for the success and growth of their children.

The programme ended with a Vote of Thanks.
