To provide students with an opportunity to display their competency of legible handwriting and to motivate students to maintain the same, once again students from Mount Carmel School, Chandigarh were given a platform to participate under the able guidance and motivation of the Directors of the School Dr. Earnest Charles J. Samuel & Dr. Annie Charles Samuel in 8 th Handwriting Olympiad in which Mount Carmelites brought laurels to the school.

Riya of Class X-C grabbed the All India first rank and also emerged as the state champion & the School champion. Harnoor Kaur of class X-C bagged a gold medal and her handwriting was adjudged among the top 20 schools in the state. The Principal Dr. Parveena John Singh felicitated students & encouraged further by saying “The art of writing is the art of discovering what you believe.”
