Mount Carmel School, Chandigarh celebrated 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. Under the aegis of the Founders and Directors Dr. Earnest Charles J. Samuel and Dr. Annie Charles Samuel along with the Principal Dr. Parveena John Singh, Mount Carmel School, Chandigarh celebrated its 78th Independence Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. The festivities commenced by seeking the blessings of the Almighty and with a welcome speech by the head boy of the school, Shivam Rana. The Founders and Directors along with the Principal hoisted the Tricolor. The entire gathering United to sing the National Anthem, resonating with the spirit of unity and solidarity among the attendees. Shavik Bragta and Kaushiki Dwivedi delivered patriotic speeches to pay a tribute to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the independence of our country. Adding educational dimensions to the celebration, Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat Club and Hindi Dramatics Club members presented skits, emphasizing the significance of Independence. The Founders and Directors urged the young generation to take pride in their Indian identity and carry out their duties by being responsible citizens. The Principal, Dr. Parveena John Singh encouraged everyone to reflect on the significance of independence in fostering a brighter future. The celebrations concluded with a vote of thanks by the Head Girl, Ritisha Sinha expressing gratitude to all participants and guests. Through a day filled with reverence, respect, and cultural performance the institution successfully conveyed the importance of preserving India’s hard-earned freedom for generations to come.
