Museum and art galleries play a great role in exhibiting a place’s rich culture and heritage that reflect the time of history that are otherwise unknown to us.
Each museum has a story to tell and a past to explore. So to apprise the children about the ancient historical facts, Legacy and artefacts placed in a museum, a visit was organized to Government art museum, Chandigarh,for the students of Heritage club of Mount Carmel School on 18th of May 2018. Around 46 children from classes 6 to 10 accompanied by their teacher- in- charges Ms Manju Sharma and Ms Jhimly Dhar visited the Museum Complex featuring ancient and modern art, architecture and natural history. The natural history section of the museum exhibits the evolution of man, Dinosaurs in India and the ancient manuscripts. The national gallery of portraits displays the photos of freedom fighters, miniature painting, medieval Indian sculpture and contemporary Indian art. All together it was an interesting and enriching experience for the students.
