Mount Carmel School Hosts Successful Blood Donation Drive for a Life Saving Cause in collaboration with PGIMER.
Mount Carmel School, under the aegis of honourable Founders and Directors, Dr. Charles J Samuel and Dr. Annie Samuel and respected principal ma’am, Dr. Parveena John Singh, took a significant step towards promoting humanitarian values by organizing a successful Blood Donation Camp on 29 July, 2023. The event was held at the school premises with the noble aim of saving lives and fostering a culture of altruism and empathy among students, staff, and the local community.
The blood donation camp witnessed an overwhelming response from students, teachers, parents, and community members who came forward to contribute to this lifesaving cause. The event was organised in collaboration with a reputed and trusted blood bank known for its exceptional standards in blood collection, storage, and distribution.
“Our school has always been committed to nurturing compassionate and responsible individuals, and organizing a blood donation camp aligns perfectly with our ethos. We are proud of our students and staff who wholeheartedly participated in this noble endeavour,” said Dr Parveena John Singh, Principal of Mount Carmel School.
The blood donation camp not only aimed to collect blood units but also served as an educational platform to raise awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation and its significant impact on saving lives in emergencies, medical treatments, and surgeries.
Mount Carmel School extends heartfelt gratitude to all the donors, volunteers, and partners who made the Blood Donation Camp a grand success. By donating blood, each participant has made a significant difference in the lives of those in need, reaffirming the school’s commitment to fostering responsible citizens and promoting the spirit of giving back to society.
