Founders’ Week in Mount Carmel school, Sector 47 – B

Carmel School, Sector 47-B, Chandigarh, observed Founders’ Week by conducting Talent show 28th & 29th November 2017 in the School premises. Around 1000 students took part from Pre-Nursery to V,

On day 1 of the programme i.e  28th November 2017 the show began with  Akkrin Shaiza of Class Nursery extending a warm welcome. Followed by  a Jungle Song  presented by the students of Class Peach Blossom. The students of Kindergarten performed‘The Prestige Dance’. Whereas Class Nursery presented some songs viz. ‘Who is the King of the Jungle’, ‘Touch your fingers to your nose’, ‘Have you ever imagined’, ‘This little light of mine’, etc.  Presentation A Farmer Plants a Seed’ was  given by the students of Kindergarten.Four students were awarded the Best All-round Students’ trophies for the session 2016-17.  The Rolling Trophy for the Best Dressed Class of the Pre-Primary Section for the session 2017 – 18 was bagged by The Camellia Nursery, The Rolling Trophy for the Most Disciplined Class of the Pre-Primary Section for the session 2017 – 18 was bagged by The Myrtle Nursery. To end with a scintillating Bhangra performance was presented by the students of Classes I & II. The event concluded with A Vote of Thanks proposed by Ezra Cavo, a student of Class K.G. and the Programme ended with the National Anthem.

Day 2 of the programme which was held on 29th November 2017 began with a warm welcome by   Diya of Class IV-B. The students of Classes IV & V presented  dance.  Hindi Dramatics Club ( classes I – V) presented a Play ‘Andher Nagri Chopat Raja’ followed by a presentation on the importance of time by the students of Class II,  a presentation on the urgent need to safeguard our environment by the students of class V and Western Dance by the students of Classes III & IV. The Annual Report of the Primary Classes was read out by Julianna Marie Thomas of Class XII & Gunjan of Class IX of the School.  20 students were awarded the Best All-round Student Trophies for the session 2016-17.  Rolling Trophy for the Most Disciplined Class for the session 2017-18 was bagged by Class II-C from the Primary Section & Class V-A from the Sub-Junior Section. The Rolling Trophy for the Best Dressed Class for the session 2017-18 was bagged by Classes I-A & I-B from the Primary Section and Class V-D from the Sub-Junior Section. The Rolling Trophy for the Best Kept Class for the session 2017-18 was bagged by Class I-C from the Primary Section and Class IV-B from the Sub-Junior Section.

The Shining Star trophy for outstanding performances in their respective fields for the session 2017-18 were awarded to Arg Kandroo of III-C (Carrom), Ikjot Singh of III-D (Skating), Divyansh Gupta of I-D ( Roller Skating), Shaurya Sharma of V-D ( Taekwondo) & Jaskirat Singh of V-B (Swimming), Armaan Malik of III-D (Fine Arts).  Jefferson Samuel Charles Rolling trophy for the best student of the School (Juniors) in cultural activities for the session 2017-18 was  awarded to Sugamdeep Singh of Class III-A.  Arjun Kathari of III-D was presented ‘Best Student Performance Award’ for the session 20116-17 by Border Less Education (BLE).

The programme was ably conducted and compared by the students of the School. . A Vote of Thanks was proposed by Mansi, a student of Class V-C of the School and the Programme ended with the National Anthem.

TALENT SHOWS AT MOUNT CARMEL SCHOOL

The Celebration of the 3rd day of the Talent Shows of Mount Carmel School, Sector 47-B, Chandigarh  on 30th November 2017 began with  Juliana Marie Thomas, the Head Girl of the School extending a warm welcome. The students of Classes VI & VII presented a Welcome Dance ‘Shilpkar Aur Inki Rachnae’. after which  the School Choir presented a song ‘ Dancing Queen’. This was followed by ‘Oliver Twist – An English play by the students of Classes V – X.

Students of Class VIII of the School presented a beautiful Folk Dance. The Annual Report of the Upper Primary Classes was read out by Julianna Marie Thomas, the Head Girl & Samridhi Malhotra, the School Captain (Girl) & Nidhil Vohra, the School Captain (Boy).of  the School.  15 students were awarded the Best All-round Student Trophies for the session 2016-17.  Rolling Trophy for the Most Disciplined Class for the session 2017-18 was bagged by Class VII-A from the Junior Section & Class VIII-A from the Sr. Group-II Section. The Rolling Trophy for the Best Dressed Class for the session 2017-18 was bagged by Class VII-D from the Junior Section and Class VIII-D from the Senior Group-II Section. The Rolling Trophy for the Best Kept Class for the session 2017-18 was bagged by Class VI-B from the Junior Section and Class VIII-C from the Sr. Group-II  Section.

The Shining Star trophy for outstanding performances in their respective fields for the session 2017-18 were awarded to Nimrat Kaur Atwal of IX-D (Tennis) & Kinjal Chandel of VIII-B (Fine Arts).  Mrs. Surinder Bala Memorial Rolling Trophy for the best student of the school (Seniors) in Cultural Activities was bagged by Maitri Bansal of Class VI-E. Jivtesh of VI-C & Nishka of VII-D were presented ‘Best Student Performance Award’ for the session 20116-17  by Border Less Education (BLE) World International.

The programme was conducted and compered by the students of the School. . A Vote of Thanks was proposed by Nidhil Vohra, the School Captain (Boy)  and the Programme concluded with  National Anthem.
