Theme: HEALTH, HYGIENE AND CLEANLINESS

The N.S.S. Special Camp commenced at Mount Carmel School, Chandigarh,
on September 30th, with the approval of the N.S.S. Department, U.T. Chandigarh, and the blessings of the school’s esteemed Founders and Directors, Dr. Earnest Charles J. Samuel and Dr. Annie Charles Samuel, along with the guidance of the Principal, Dr.
Parveena John Singh.

The day began with Prayer, the NSS Pledge, Warm-Up Exercises, which set a positive and energetic tone for the participants. These activities helped the students begin their day with discipline, focus, and mindfulness.

Visit to Old Age Home.

As part of the NSS Special Camp, the NSS volunteers of Mount Carmel School visited the Old Age Home, Sector 15, Chandigarh. The students interacted warmly with the elderly residents and presented a cultural programme which included dances, songs, and other performances. The programme brought smiles to the faces of the senior citizens and created a joyful atmosphere. The visit was a memorable experience for the students, teaching them the values of care, respect, and compassion towards the elderly.

The camp concluded with a pledge to adopt cleanliness as a way of life.
