To promote learning through outdoor interactions and experiences, Mount Carmel School, Chandigarh organized a field trip to Bird Park for the students of Adventure Club (Juniors) of Classes III to V on September 12, 2024.
The day began with eager anticipation and boundless energy. The main goal of this adventure was to introduce students to the amazing variety of bird species and teach them about the importance of conservation.
As they explored the park, the students were treated to a colorful spectacle of birds from around the world. They spotted African Love Birds, Budgerigars, majestic White and Black Swans, vibrant Wood ducks, stunning Golden and Yellow Golden Pheasants, and many more. They even saw exotic species like the Green Wing Macaw, Dun Conures, and the intelligent African Grey Parrot. The students were thrilled to see so many different types of birds, including Finches and the rare Melanistic Pheasant.
The trip was not just about seeing birds; it was also about appreciating the beauty of nature. The students were captivated by the serene surroundings and the opportunity to connect with the natural world.
This field trip was a valuable learning experience, allowing students to gain hands-on knowledge about bird diversity and conservation. They left the park with new friendships, unforgettable memories, and a deeper appreciation for the wonders of nature.
