Under the guidance of the Founders and Directors Dr. Earnest Charles J. Samuel and Dr. Annie Charles Samuel and according to the guidelines of Chandigarh Administration, Swachhta Pakhwada was observed at Mount Carmel School, Chandigarh through a host of activities. It aimed to raise awareness and sensitize the students regarding the importance of cleanliness and hygiene. The students made beautiful Posters and Slogans as part of Swachhta awareness activity. Poetry Recitation and Essay Writing Activities were also conducted on the theme ‘Cleanliness’. A workshop was organized for Mount Carmelites to enlighten them regarding the objectives of Swachhta Pakhwara Campaign. A pledge was undertaken by the students highlighting all the aspects of Swachhta. The oath was to commit time towards cleanliness and initiate the quest for cleanliness among the whole society.

The Principal, Dr. Parveena John Singh informed the students that they were the real ‘Change Makers’ of the future and hence they must be empowered and enriched towards creating awareness regarding cleanliness. She further stated that the whole campaign anticipates a clean and a healthy Bharat.
