Theme : HEALTH, HYGIENE AND CLEANLINESS

 The N.S.S. Special Camp commenced at Mount Carmel School, Chandigarh, on September 28th, with the approval of the N.S.S. Department, U.T. Chandigarh, and the blessings of the school’s esteemed Founders and Directors, Dr. Earnest Charles J. Samuel and Dr. Annie Charles Samuel, along with the guidance of the Principal, Dr. Parveena John Singh.

The day began with Prayer, the NSS Pledge, Warm-Up Exercises, and a Yoga activity, which set a positive and energetic tone for the participants. These activities helped the students begin their day with discipline, focus, and mindfulness.

As part of the programme, the NSS volunteers visited Sohana Gurudwara, Mohali, where they actively participated in the Langar (Community Service). The visit offered valuable exposure to the spirit of selfless service, equality, and community bonding. Students enthusiastically contributed to the preparation and serving of langar, thereby learning the values of humility, compassion, and collective responsibility.

The day concluded with lunch, bringing to a close a fulfilling and enriching experience that beautifully combined physical well-being, spiritual growth, and social service.
